Supported Internships
Young people with EHC plans have the option to do a supported internship. They are a great way to prepare you for a job or an apprenticeship. They are designed to help you gain the skills you need to get a paid job.
You will complete a study programme alongside on-the-job training at an employer. You will have the chance to study relevant qualifications alongside English and Maths.
Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is a paid job with training involved. It allows you to “earn while you learn”, earning a salary while learning the skills you need.
You will need to have achieved GCSE grades 9-4 (or A-C) in order to do an appreticeship

Traineeships

Usually, you will spend time at a college learning some skills before starting work experience with an employer
16-19 Bursary Fund
You may be able to get help with education-related costs if you are aged 16-19.
A bursary is money that you can use to pay for things relating to your education, such as clothing, books, equipment, transport and food on your study or training days
